School Officials Discuss 4th/5th Grade Academy

DeKalb County School System Chief of Operations Patricia Pope was at Dunwoody High School Wednesday night giving a construction update on the new 4th/5th grade academy. Pope said the project is ahead of schedule, due to be complete in early July 2009. Project manager Barry Booth said the building, designed with a brick and metal panel exterior, is 50 percent complete.
Pope said a principal will be named later this month - expect the PTA to get started shortly thereafter. About 100 to 150 parents attended the meeting.
