With the drought heading into its third year, we definitely can use all the rain we can get. But unfortunately, the rain washed away Saturday's scheduled Opening Day ceremonies at Murphey Candler Park, spoiling the weekend for many of Springfield's budding baseball and softball stars. The plan is to try again Sunday, but once again rain is in the forecast. As they say, when it rains it pours!

Rain Washes Out Weekend
With the drought heading into its third year, we definitely can use all the rain we can get. But unfortunately, the rain washed away Saturday's scheduled Opening Day ceremonies at Murphey Candler Park, spoiling the weekend for many of Springfield's budding baseball and softball stars. The plan is to try again Sunday, but once again rain is in the forecast. As they say, when it rains it pours!
