A gunman held up Flagstar Bank in Dunwoody Thursday morning, police said.
The robber entered the Mount Vernon Road bank (across from All Saints Church) at 9:30 a.m. He demanded cash and fled on foot with an undisclosed sum.

Police say the suspect is a 6-foot-2 or 6-foot-3 black man weighing 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a black knit cap, glasses, a black mask, a black hooded North Face jacket, black gloves and dark blue jeans.
Dunwoody police are working with the FBI on the case.
Anyone with information is urged to call Det. Kelly Boyer at 678-382-6914 or email Kelly.boyer@dunwoodyga.gov.

We seem to be the magnet for bank robbers these days....Any idea if this is the same guy that held up the Best Bank last week?

Seems like another bank robbery occurred on New Year's Eve. This time, the robber was caught within moments of the crime. See the report from the AJC by pasting this link into your browser:

In this case, the Dunwoody Police were able to respond promptly and detained the alleged perpetrator even though her disguise had been abandoned.

Good work, and credit where credit is due!!!

The Dunwoody Police announced last night that they had arrested a suspect in the Schniederman murder. According to the article in the AJC (duplicated in The Crier) the suspect was arrested based on "good, hard police work," and not as the result of a tip or other outside information.

There is a candlelight vigil scheduled for tomorrow, in the Dunwoody Prep parking lot at 6PM. I presume this will still go on as planned. I hope that this will bring a least a partial sense of closure to the family.

And another "good job!" to our DPD and associated investigators!!!
